The project involved the construction of 10 hotel towers, 88 individual chalets, as well as the on-site Venetian Village.
The Venetian Village includes 33 apartments, a spa building, staff accommodation, ancillary buildings, a separate service and security building, seven new substations, 86 pergolas, 11 gazebos, a tennis centre, car park and three shaded areas adjacent to the resort’s swimming pools.
The total built-up area of the project is around 178,000 square metres, excluding the external works.
The scope of work also included site mobilisation, excavation and disposal, dewatering, waterproofing and masonry works.
The Ritz-Carlton Abu Dhabi, Grand Canal features 447 luxurious guestrooms and suites, as well as 85 private villas. Set amidst beautifully landscaped gardens with its own private beach overlooking the Grand Canal, the hotel consists of ten stately buildings arranged in a crescent formation, complemented by artfully designed water features throughout the 220,000 square meter (54 acre) property.
A key highlight of The Ritz-Carlton Abu Dhabi is the one and two-bedroom villas, each ranging in size from 90 to 130 square meters (968 to 1,400 square feet), and complete with spacious outdoor terraces and personalized butler service. The Ritz-Carlton Abu Dhabi provides 2,040 square meters of flexible meeting space, including a magnificent 1,500-square meter (16,145 square foot) ballroom that is divisible by three, with an additional 14 individual meeting rooms.
